TRANSFER OF APPROPRIATIONS FROM CHAPTERS 1 THROUGH 8
TO CHAPTER 9 OF THE 2001 PROGRAM-BUDGET

            THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES,

            HAVING SEEN the "Note from the Secretary General Requesting Authorization to Transfer Regular Fund Appropriations from Chapters 1 through 8 to Chapter 9 of the Program-Budget" (CP/doc.3523/01), and the Report of the Chair of the Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Affairs on the Request for the Transfer of Appropriations from Chapters 1 through 8 to Chapter 9 of the Program-Budget" (CP/CAAP-2583/01); and

            BEARING IN MIND Article 99.ii of the General Standards to Govern the Operations of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States,

RESOLVES:

            1.     To approve the request from the Secretary General to transfer up to $335,000 from chapters 1 through 8 to chapter 9 of the 2001 program-budget.

            2.     To instruct the Secretary General to submit a detailed report indicating the areas that were affected by mid-December of 2001.
