TRANSFERS OF APPROPRIATIONS BETWEEN CHAPTERS OFFICE SPACE (Subprogram 90D)

THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES,

HAVING SEEN the Note from the General Secretariat on a Proposed Transfer of Appropriations between Chapters - Office Space (CP/doc.3167/99), and the Report of the Chair of the Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Affairs on a Proposed Transfer of Appropriations between Chapters - Office Space (CP/CAAP-2487/99); and

BEARING IN MIND Article 98 (c) of the General Standards to Govern the Operations of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States,

RESOLVES:

1. To approve the request of the General Secretariat to transfer funds between chapters for the purpose of allocating the occupancy cost of office space to the offices, departments and units in proportion to the space they occupy.

2. To instruct the General Secretariat to make appropriate adjustments in the allocation of occupancy costs as office space is reassigned in the future and to include those in the quarterly budgetary execution reports to the Permanent Council.
