DECLARATION ON THE TERRORIST ATTACKS IN FRANCE
(Adopted by the Permanent Council at the meeting
held on January 15, 2015)
In relation to the recent attacks on the
magazine Charlie Hebdo and the supermarket Hyper Cacher in Paris,
France, the Permanent Council DECLARES:
1. That it offers its condolences and solidarity to the families of the
victims, as well as to the authorities and people of France, in the wake
of the attacks on the magazine Charlie Hebdo and the supermarket Hyper
Cacher in Paris.
2. That it vigorously and unreservedly condemns terrorism in any part of
the world, in all its forms and manifestations.
3. That it welcomes the expressions of support and solidarity of the
majority of the world's governments to the people and Government of
France for their rejection of violence and acts of terrorism perpetrated
by radical groups.
4. Calls for the consolidation of peace, respect for life, tolerance,
and other fundamental rights and freedoms.
