CONGRATULATIONS TO NICARAGUA ON ITS ELECTORAL PROCESS

THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES,

CONGRATULATES the people of Nicaragua, its Government, headed by Enrique Bolaños Geyer, and the other officials, on the electoral process carried out in the framework of its democratic institutions, and

ALSO CONGRATULATES President-elect Daniel Ortega Saavedra on his election to the 2007-2012 presidential term.
