OAS/OPI Price is a minimum fee based on the replacement of equipment and/or
related expenses such as payment for CPRs, office supplies, blank tapes, etc.
These prices apply only to the OAS organs and substantive areas. This policy
can also be applied for other institutions of the Inter-American system, upon
review. Market price was set after thorough research on websites and
specialized publications and should be applied to commercial services. For the
Office of the Secretary General, Office of the Assistant Secretary General and
activities of the Permanent Council, the Inter-American Council for Integral
Development, the OAS General Assembly and the Meeting of Consultation of
Ministers of Foreign Affairs, these services are provided for free. Media
activities such as Press Conferences are also covered for free.
(*2)Press packets: Are
prepared for the OAS General Assembly and other events, and include the OAS
brochure, a set of issues papers, Inter-American Democratic Charter, a bio of
the SG and ASG and any other material relevant to the particular meeting. These
packets are available at no charge for press needs. However, if someone wants a
wider distribution for meetings or conferences, the cost is $4.00 per packet.
This covers copying charges and helps offset costs of reprinting publications.
OAS brochures: "A Shared Vision for the Americas" is available in 50-count
quantities for $1 piece ($50 for 50, etc.). An initial distribution was made to
internal offices, national offices and missions at no charge.
