Leo S. Rowe Manuscript Collection

The Library is the custodian of the personal and official papers of Dr. Leo S. Rowe, Director General of the Pan American Union, from 1920 to 1946. This collection, totaling 24 linear feet, includes notebooks, speeches, letters, diaries, newspaper clippings, manuscripts, photographs, and medals and condecorations. The register of this collection is available in the library.

Dr. Rowe showed a special interest in the education of Latin American youth and established a fund for students in his will. The Leo S. Rowe Pan American Fund offers interest free loans to citizens of member states of the Organization of American States.
