THE COLUMBUS MEMORIAL LIBRARY RECEIVES

VOLUMES FOR ITS COLLECTION

The Columbus Memorial Library of the Organization of American States, received several new additions to its permanent collection. Ambassador Aristides Royo, Permanent Representative of Panama to the OAS, accepted the contributions in his capacity as Chairman of the Group of Friends of the Library. During the donation ceremony, former Ambassador of Barbados to the United States and Permanent Representative to the OAS, Sir Courtney Blackman, presented his book entitled "The Practice of Economic Management: A Caribbean Perspective." He explained that the collection of 22 essays was written over a 30-year period.

In addition, the Permanent Representative of Colombia to the OAs, Ambassador Camilo Ospina, donated two publications on Alberto Lleras Camargo, the first OAS Secretary General and former President of Colombia. Nicaragua's Ambassador to the OAS, José Luis Velásquez, also donated a three-volume Nicaraguan poetry collection ("El Siglo de la Poesía en Nicaragua").
