OUR PRIORITIES

Adopted by the XXXI Assembly of CIM Delegates, the Biennial Work Plan for 2004-2006 assigns priority status to the following:

1.  The Inter-American Program for the Promotion of Women’s   Human Rights and Gender Equity and Equality

2. Follow-up to the 2001 Summit of the Americas 

3. Implementation of the CIM Strategic Plan of Action - Areas for priority action:

·         Human Rights and the Elimination of Violence against Women

·        Participation of women in power and decision-making structures   

·         Education 

·         Eradication of poverty and discrimination
