Integrating  a Gender Perspective

in Ministerial-level Meetings

 

 

SEPIA IV  -Gender and Science and Technology

Together with the CIM and the Gender Advisory Board of the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development, the OAS Office of Science and Technology organized a meeting of experts to prepare recommendations on integrating a gender perspective in science and technology policies and programs.  This meeting took place August 24-25, 2004, in Washington, D.C.  The recommendations were presented  to the First Meeting of Ministers and High Authorities on Science and Technology in the framework of CIDI-OAS,  held November 10-11, 2004, in Lima, Peru, and adopted in full as one of nine Regional Initiative of the Ministerial Plan of Action.
