Government
Brazil is a Federative Republic with a presidential system, a
bicameral
Congress (House of Representatives and Senate), as
well as an independent
Supreme Court.
Brazil’s Government strongly believes in the role of the OAS in
promoting,
among many others topics, the strengthening of democracy in
the Americas,
a more equitable trade integration among the regional
economics, as well as
the peaceful resolution of conflicts.*
