Economy
Nicaragua has experienced
great growth in the past several years, thanks in large part, to
political stabilization and the discovery of sectors with major
growth potential. It has become one of the fastest growing economies
in the Americas, but also still one of the poorest. Nicaragua has
recognized the most potential for growth in the agricultural sector,
although it is highly volatile to natural disasters and market
prices. Growth potential also exists in the following sectors:
energy generation, tourism, export manufacturing, mining and
construction, as well as the sale of consumer goods.
