Folklore
Music
Polcas and Guaranias are the most popular music styles of Paraguayan
folklore. The polca, although similar in name, with its short, quick
steps is quite different from the Polka. Traditional dances to accompany
these music styles include: the Santa Fe, Galopera, and the Danza de la
Botella (“Bottle Dance”). Guaranias are very slow, romantic rhythms
commonly used as serenades.
