Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Assistant Secretary General “Very Satisfied” with General Assembly Preparations in Cochabamba

The Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States, Albert Ramdin, said today he was “very satisfied with the progress” made by the government of Bolivia and the city of Cochabamba in preparation for the 42nd General Assembly of the hemispheric organization. During the visit, the second-ranking authority in the OAS met with the Bolivian Minister of Foreign Affairs, David Choquehuanca.
During a technical visit to Cochabamba, the Assistant Secretary General highlighted “the decided way in which the authorities and the people of Cochabamba have taken on this commitment to the hemisphere,” and expressed his “admiration, respect, and gratitude” to the Bolivian government.
Ambassador Ramdin recalled that the event will take place from June 3rd to 5th, “just two months after the Summit of the Americas,” which he said will raise expectations for the Assembly in Cochabamba. “It represents a special opportunity for the Member States to discuss in depth their common concerns, and to concentrate on the search for collective solutions to the problems that afflict our hemisphere: poverty, inequality, social exclusion, insecurity, crime, violence, and natural disasters, among others” he said.
For his part, Foreign Minister Choquehuanca recalled that the theme of the Assembly chosen by Bolivia is “Food Security with Sovereignty in the Americas,” and added that the meeting in Cochabamba will also allow Member States to deal with issues like “citizen insecurity in the hemisphere, the problem of migration, and drug trafficking” among others.
The Assistant Secretary General called on the Assembly to strengthen the collaboration between governments “in the search for better living conditions for their citizens,” and to remember that “in our diversity of cultures, ethnicities and geographies, we are still one heart and one America.”
The Foreign Minister of Bolivia David Choquehuanca, thanked the delegation headed by Ambassador Ramdin for its visit, and declared that “all of Bolivia,” including the government, mass media and hotels are committed to guarantee the best organization “so that the Assembly ends in a party.”
