OAS and American University Offer Scholarships for Master´s in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law

The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States and American University Washington College of Law signed today, November 17, a five-year agreement that will allow for the granting of scholarships (partial financial assistance) that consist of seven academic credits to study a Master of Laws Degree in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law. The scholarships are open to:

  • OAS officials
  • Professionals from OAS organs, specialized bodies or entities and the Inter-American Human Rights Commission
  • Officials of the OAS member states
  • Officials from the Permanent Missions to the OAS
  • Participants in the OAS School of Government that are admitted to this program

The agreement will also allow for participation in the Program of Advanced Studies in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, with substantial discounts for the attendance certificate modality.
