Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS begins audit of the electoral registry of Bolivia

A technical team of the Organization of American States (OAS) arrived today to initiate a comprehensive audit of the electoral registry that was requested by the Plurinational Electoral Authority of Bolivia (OEP). The group of experts, who will remain in the country for the next several months, is composed of international specialists in statistics, computer science, document verification, electoral legislation and training. The group will be based in La Paz, but will be deployed to different areas of the country to carry out the verification work in the field.
At the conclusion of the audit, the implementation of which was recommended by previous OAS Electoral Observation Missions to Bolivia, a detailed report will be provided to the OEP with its findings and possible actions to strengthen the electoral registry.
The project is being implemented thanks to the financial support of Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States and IDEA International.
