Global Launch of Cyber Security Awareness Month at the OAS

The Organization of American States (OAS), together with the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) will host, on Tuesday October 3, at 12:30 EDT (16:30 GMT), the global launch of Cyber Security Awareness Month at OAS headquarters in Washington DC.

During the event, internationally renowned government and industry experts will explore major cybersecurity issues. The program will highlight a variety of topics, including how to keep all global digital citizens safer and more secure online and how governments and the private sector can work together on a more secure and trusted internet, and look ahead to the benefits of a globally secure internet.

Speakers will include OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro, U.S. Assistant Secretary in the Office of Cybersecurity and Communications Jeanette Manfra, and William O´Connell, Chair of the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) Board of Directors.
