OAS Permanent Council to Consider the Situation in Venezuela and Receive Report of EOM in Ecuador

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 11:00 EDT (16:00 GMT) in Simon Bolivar Hall at OAS headquarters in Washington DC, to consider “the Situation in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.”

The Council will also receive the verbal report on the OAS Electoral Observation Mission in Ecuador presented by the Chief of Mission, the former President of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernández, among other topics.

Earlier, at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT) the Permanent Council will hold a protocolary meeting to commemorate “the anniversary of the birth of Liberator Simón Bolívar.”
