OAS and AWS Present White Paper: “National Cyber Risk Management”
April 17, 2018
Do we understand the complexity of cyber risks in order to guarantee cybersecurity? How can we define a methodology for the long term management of cyber risks?
The Organization of American States (OAS) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) will present, on Thursday, April 19, their second joint White Paper: “National Cyber Risk Management.” This publication is the second in a series that seeks, together with other initiatives, to analyze the state of cybersecurity in the Americas and to increase the level of awareness of government leaders, businesses and society in general about cybersecurity.
The publication is a reflection to help leaders to balance opportunities in the digital economy and risks of cyber insecurity. It also addresses the role of governments, international organizations, academia and the technological field facing this challenge.
The presentation will include the author of the White Paper, Senior Fellow and Member of the Board of Regents of the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies, Melissa Hathaway; the Manager of the OAS Cyber Security Program, Belisario Conteras; and the Senior Public Policy Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean of Amazon Web Services, Andrés Maz.
