LIVE OAS PROGRAM ON DEMOCRACY AND THE FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM

The Organization of American States (OAS) Department of Public Information will be webcasting (via the Internet, at wwww.oas.org) another edition of its live program "Despejando Dudas," in Spanish, this time looking at democracy and the fight against terrorism.

The program will be webcast on Thursday, September 27, at 10:30 a.m., Washington time, and will be moderated by Anthony Boadle of Reuters News Agency.

For this edition, the guests are Ecuador's Foreign Affairs Minister Heinz Moeller; Spain's Permanent Observer to the OAS Ambassador Eduardo Gutiérrez; Ambassador Myles Frechette, Executive Director of the Peruvian-American Business Council; and Steven Monblatt, Assistant Anti-Terrorism Coordinator at the U.S. Department of State.

"Despejando Dudas" is an interactive one-hour program that brings together guests to discuss a specific issue that is of hemispheric interest. The guests take questions sent in by email or through radio stations that are linked up to the webcast. Questions should be emailed to: [email protected].
