TWENTIETH OAS MODEL ASSEMBLY OPENS THURSDAY

            The twentieth annual Model Organization of American States (OAS) General Assembly for high school students opens at the OAS on Thursday, November 29, 2001, at 1:30 p.m.

            Security issues are the main focus of this year's program, which brings together some 300 students from 27 high schools in the United States and Mexico.

            OAS Assistant Secretary General Luigi Einaudi and U.S. Ambassador to the OAS Roger Noriega will address the opening session.   Noriega's address will focus on terrorism.
