March 30, 2001"OVERCOMING CHALLENGES" FEATURES SUMMIT OF THE AMERICAS
With less than a month remaining before the Summit of the Americas in Quebec City, Canada, the OAS Department of Public Information will put out the second edition in its series "Overcoming Challenges", via the internet (www.oas.org).
This time, it features the importance of the upcoming hemispheric summit. The program will be broadcast April 2 at 9:30 a.m. with Canada's Ambassador to the OAS Peter Boehm and his Argentine counterpart Ambassador Raśl Ricardes, along with Jaime Aparicio, Director of the OAS Office of Summit Follow-up, as guests.
The program will be moderated by Reuters News Agency reporter Anthony Boadle. "Overcoming Challenges" is a half-hour interactive program in which prominent guests examine an issue of interest to the Hemisphere and take questions sent in by email or from radio stations linked up to the broadcast.
