Madame Aline Chrétien To Launch MuseAmericas
On the eve of the Summit of the Americas in Quebec City, Madame Aline Chrétien of Canada will launch the Virtual Museum of the Americas, or MuseAmericas. The project was created by the Museum of the Americas Foundation with technical support from the Organization of American States (OAS).
MuseAmericas -- www.museamericas.org -- brings together a vibrant cultural community made up of 35 countries in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. The portal features special on-line exhibitions and has a powerful search engine that allows visitors to explore the region's museums in English, French, Portuguese or Spanish. With its focus on education, MuseAmericas also has learning activities and games tailored for particular ages and grade levels.
