On April 12th, 2001, the Organization of American States will host the "Second Special Session on Democracy of the OAS Working Group on Representative Democracy" with the participation of Brazilian Ministers of State Aloysio Nunes Ferreira, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic and Roberto Brant, Minister of Social Security and Assistance and the well known French sociologist Alain Touraine, author of the book "What is Democracy?"
OAS Assistant Secretary General, Ambassador Luigi Einaudi, will also attend the meeting.
