EL SALVADOR RECEIVES MORE INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT

International support continues to pour in to El Salvador, in the aftermath of the massive toll inflicted by the earthquake of January 13. Several Permanent Observers to the Organization of American States have announced large donations in cash and specialized expertise, equipment, and materials to aid the thousands reported to be affected. The following list of donations from governments does not include important contributions from non-governmental organizations (NGOs), other private groups and individuals from a number of countries that have joined the relief effort:

TURKEY
has also sent groups of 24 and 16 rescue workers and FRANCE 56 civilian security officers and 14 experts, 25 tons of material to set up medical posts and 3 drinking water processing plants, medicines, and tents, among other items.
