Internet-based news bulletins service in English about Latin America that publishes in-depth coverage on the subject since 1986. Three bulletins are produced weekly by professional journalists: SourceMex, which covers news about Mexico; NotiCen, covering Central America and the Caribbean including Cuba; and NotiSur, which covers news about South America. It also includes a database of full text articles from some economic journals from Latin America. The service is based at the Latin American and Iberian Institute of the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.

The database is searchable using keyword on the headlines and/or the full text and searches can be narrowed down by date and/or by database. A search using the keyword "terrorism" limited by data published after September 11, 2001, produced the following articles:

The Inter-American Defense Board is a military organization that deals with security issues in the Western Hemisphere supporting the hemispheric security goals of the OAS.
