4.6 Criminal Justice System Process - ICCS Crimes Level 1
4.6.3.3 Persons in Formal Contact for: Injurious acts of a sexual nature (ICCS 03)
Total number of alleged offenders against whom prosecution for “injurious acts of a sexual nature” commenced in the reporting year. Persons may be prosecuted by the public prosecutor or the law enforcement agency responsible for prosecution. All persons for which prosecution starts should be counted, irrespective of the case-ending decision. “Injurious acts of a sexual nature” are those criminal offences defined in Section 03 of the International Classification of Crime for Statistical Purposes (ICCS), UNODC, Mar 2015, pp.50-53.
