BRAZIL - Que Sera, Sera
Seja o que Deus quiser

Unjustly accused of setting up São Paulo MTV VJ Ludmila Rosa for a beating by punks after she's spent the night with him, Rio musician Rocco Pittanga sets out to clear his name, en route getting set up himself in a fake kidnapping scheme by her fake-gun-sporting gay brother. Only trouble is, their Valium-popping mom [the great Marília Pêra—PIXOTE, TIETA OF AGRESTE, CENTRAL STATION] negotiates down the ransom. Biting satire of MTV, raves, etc, with blackly, hilariously cynical payoff, from the director of HOW ANGELS ARE BORN.
