Insomniac and nightmare-ridden Arturo Ríos,
hearing that his father is dying, hurries back to his crumbling
childhood home in the hills only to be told by a mysterious old
woman that dad died years ago. And then the family chronicle begins,
dating back to the 1860s and the French soldier's gun and coat,
carrying through succeeding wars and a pattern of fratricide, dreams
and insomnia. The old woman barks "Love doesn't exist" but if it
did, can it break the circle? Seven Ariel Awards out of 14

Arturo Ríos, atormentado por el insomnio y las
pesadillas, se entera que su padre está muriendo y se apresura a
regresar a la ruinosa morada de su infancia en las montañas para
