As the little town of Ambalema braces to watch its local favorite's bid for Beauty Queen on that newfangled TV, chunky eight-year-old Guillermo Castañeda and his two pals thrill with guilty horror over the traveling witchman's recipe for their attaining invisibility: a stolen black chicken's innards, a cat's heart and a desecrated scapular, all put together in a cemetery-but then that's the only way for Castañeda to get close to his beloved Martha Cecilia (Ingrid Cielo Ospina). Mientras la pequeña ciudad de Ambalema se prepara para mirar el concurso de belleza en el nuevo televisor, Guillermo Castañeda -un gordito de ocho años- y sus dos amigos se estremecen ante la receta que consiguieron de un brujo itinerante para volverse invisibles: juntar en un cementerio entrañas de gallina, un corazón de gato y un escapulario profanado. Sin embargo, esa es la única manera que tiene Castañeda de acercarse a su amada Martha Cecilia (Ingrid Cielo Ospina). Una historia dulce, encantadora y divertida, al estilo de Tom Sawyer, con excelentes actuaciones de los niños. Mejor película colombiana en el Festival de Bogotá.
