As
perennial admirer Martín Adjemián sketches the clientele, Italian
expatriate Rita Cortese (Best Actress, Amiens Festival) presides over her
Buenos Aires neighborhood bistro while keeping a drawerful of potential
buyers' business cards and drawing the line at ketchup
on the eggplant. But when romantically questing German Adrián Witzke gets
his money stolen, she finds she's got a
new border, helper and fellow expatriate; and then she gets news of her
Sicilian village Siponto. Sweetly Chekhovian debut for writer/director

Herencia
Mientras el eterno admirador Martín Adjemián dibuja retratos de los
clientes de un restaurante de Buenos Aires, su dueña, la inmigrante
italiana Rita Cortese (mejor actriz en el Festival de Amiens), mantiene un
cajón lleno de tarjetas de potenciales compradores y su vida se reduce a
atender el negocio. Pero cuando Adrián Witzke, un viajero enamorado,
aparece en busca de trabajo porque le han robado su dinero, Cortese
encuentra en él un ayudante y compañero expatriado, al tiempo que recibe
noticias de Siponto, su pueblo natal en Sicilia. Excelente debut para la
directora y guionista Paula Hernández. Mejor película en el Festival de
Cine Latinoamericano de Miami.
