The purpose of this project is to generate, adapt and develop the capacity for planning, researching, evaluating, managing, conserving and developing the land and marine natural resources and for sustaining the environmental processes.
The following regional activities were held, in which all the countries participating in the project took part: the International Symposium on "South American Camelidae"; Meeting to Coordinate and Evaluate the Multinational Project on the Environment and Natural Resources; Meeting of the Regional Natural Products Network (REDPRONAT); Regional Project on Medicinal Flora (MEDFLOR); Seminar on "The New Regulations and Enforcement of Pesticide Levels in Exported Agricultural Products"; the Central American Seminar on Domestication of Medicinal Plants; OAS International Workshop on Coastal Ocean Space Utilization - Technological Cooperation for Sustainable Development of Ocean Space and River Basins; Congress on Strategies to Isolate Natural Products; South American Workshop on Science and Technology in Politics and Environmental Law.
In addition, institutions participating in the project conducted numerous activities as part thereof.
