Article 100 of the General Standards to Govern the Operations of the General Secretariat; Chapter XV of the Budgetary and Financial Rules, and Executive Order No. 81-6 entrust this Office with conducting the internal audits of the General Secretariat's operating procedures and financial transactions, to verify whether they are accurate, effective and efficient and to check to make certain that acceptable standards have been followed and that the established policies, rules and practices have been observed.
