Consultation
The Hemispheric Roundtable “Towards Sustainable Development in the Americas,” with representatives of civil society and other social actors, will last half a day and will consist of an inaugural session and four regular sessions that will focus on the consideration of the contributions received during the preparatory process about the themes of the Ministerial Meeting. Furthermore, there will be time to finalize details for the participation of civil society and social actors in the ministerial dialogue planned for November 18.
In the program for this Roundtable, the different elements that have served as input to the preparatory process for the Second Inter-American Meeting of Ministers and High-Level Authorities on Sustainable Development are combined and the interaction and exchange among the different participating actors is encouraged. Before the beginning of each session, one or two rapporteurs will be elected who will be responsible for taking notes on the ideas expressed in each session and for writing a summary of the recommendations that will be discussed and finalized during the dialogue. In addition, the final arrangements will be made for the presentation to the Ministers.
